hey man i use a Yamaga blanks Atlas its 7.6ft and is pe8 i have it with a stella 20k use poppers and stickbaits with it works a treat rods really light and had the backbone to pull in some big GT's on my last trip. also some bohemuth sharks ahaha

I'm 5.7" and weigh roughly about 75Kg...
Intend to use poppers and stickbaits around 180gm max...

Also I prefer shorter rod...7.6 or 7.8 ft

Hi Saiki

It depends a lot on whether you really want to use 180 gram chuggers. A big-faced chugger in that weight range will require a fairly serious stiff-tipped rod.  If though you are intending to use stickbaits up to that weight but limit the chuggers to more like 150 grams, then lighter weight rods will do the job.
