Thank you very much Ken.

I am a competent fisherman in the majority of forms but I tell you what, i feel like an absolute fish out of water (pardon the pun) when it comes to GT popping.  This was further highlighted by me not recognising a single one of the lure brands you just mentioned. This trip is going to be insanely awesome. I think its fair to see I will come back addicted to this form of fishing, but then dont have the vessel to pursue it after i return. Chasing barra, jack and other estuary fish will not fill the void after this trip, and i will have to spend another fortune and get out there again.

The biggest essentials I am hearing are a gimbal belt, gloves, quality leader and quality terminals as in rings and trebles and offcourse competently tying knots i have never used before. I better get practicing
