Nomad Sportfishing - Bugatti Reef 2007
April 02, 2007, 10:05:21 PM
Okay guys - I did post this in the other thread on Marion Reef 2008 but just in case you didn't see it there......

I'm going on a trip out to Bugatti Reef  later this year from 28 July to 3 August. There is still definitely one spare spot, possibly two. Bugatti Reef is a new location for Nomad and this is the first year they are running a charter here. This is a popping specific location with the primary focus being GTs. I also understand that the fishing here for big reef fish like coral trout and red bass is quite exceptional and that last year when they were exploring the area, there were heaps of spaniards on the edge of the reef.

Let me know if you're keen!!    ;D

I also wish to dispel what is now apparent to me is a commonly held view that all I do is spend my time fishing. I only do it for part of the time!  :D
If it swims; I want to catch it!

Livin' the dream buddy, nice work :)

Would love to go on a GT specific Nomad charter but since I've got Rowley Shoals planned for next year my apprentice wages only go so far  >:(

Maybe 2009  8)

heading off tomorrow to Hamilton Island and then off to Bugatti on Saturday!!!

Only two of us from the forum going on this trip, unlike Shoalwater and Marion next year where we pretty much fill the weeks we are going. Hopefully, we will have good weather and that there will be plenty of GTs around  ;D

As per usual, I will be happy with one nice GT on a popper and then I can go fish for fusiliers (just kidding)

thanks a lot, Pete. All the gear is packed a ready to go. Can really only now hope for good weather. The forecast is nice and sunny but the winds look like 20 knots all week! We understand that Bugatti is pretty sheltered so can only hope and see.........

The camera is packed - let's hope it gets some good use!

thanks and yes indeed. Among the best trips I've ever been on with great weather and lots of angry GTs.
I'll post a trip report when I have time

No rush mate, after a week of angry GTs you'll need some beauty sleep. ;)
