Hi Mark and Jay,

Nice report Mark, i want to add some more when I have some free time.

Going back to the fish photos and your original post, I still think the second fish in the sequence was heavier, though shorter at 131 cm and 110cm girth, that photo does that fish no justice. It pulled drag like a bullet train and took 3 people to lift its very round profile onto my lap. With the rolling boat, slippery fish and fatigue i could not balance it properly on my knees as is the preferred position to make the fish look bigger. I can remember every detail of that street fight though.

A very memorable trip in every way , and I will be back.

Thanks for the trip report Mark, got me frothing for my trip in a couple of weeks  8)

That pic of the 139cm fish really does not do it justice!  :-\

Yep, I thought it was probably heavier at the time as well (being one of the people who lifted both fish!). It does not come across that way in the photo at all. What is for sure is that both were world class specimens Andy and great credit to you.

Thanks Trevor.

I waved as well Alex!  ;D  The only time I saw your boat was that one early morning at Sniz.

Roger was just ecstatic. And what a character :).  I have met a few over the years but I reckon Roger took the biscuit... a very, very funny man.

Great to see you guys did so well. It's just an amazing fishery probably unrivaled anywhere these days.

One of the truly astounding things about the Hallaniyats is the all round huge size of the predator fish. We all know by now that the GTs are simply immense.

But the bream are also huge as are the spangled emperors as are the yellow-spot trevallies as are the bluefins... it goes on. Here's another one  - a massive tailor!  That's Roger Mortimore from the UK who was fishing with No Boundaries same time as us.

Awesome place and some wonderful fish landed, I can't wait to get back there again but the end of March seems a loooooong way in the future.

Note to self - book an early season trip as well next year !

It'll also be interesting to see if any of last year's tagged fish turn up - any so far Ed ?
