I watched that - fascinating!  The only other record of giant trevally in freshwater I'd ever come across was from a freshwater lake in the Philippines but those fish (from vague recollection) had been landlocked.  I wondered if they were going upriver to rid themselves of parasites that wouldn't survive in freshwater?  They'd be so easy to wipe out with nets...
