GT popping in Exmouth
March 19, 2013, 01:51:46 PM
Hi All,
This is my 1st post. I need some advise on GT popping in Exmounth.
I am from Singapore and will be planning a trip there. Likly to fly into Perth.
My question are:
1) When's the best season to go popping there for GT?
2) Any recommended charter for 4 people?
3) What's the best way to get there from Perth?
4) And where to stay?

Thanks.

Hi Raymond,

Welcome aboard.

I'm not from WA, but I am sure there are a few guy's here that will be able to chip in on some info about Exmouth.

However as a start, you could try contacting Matty Gates from Tackle World in Exmouth, he should be able to point you in the right direction and answer most of your questions.

Eddy from peak sports fishing for the GTs any time of the year, and ray white holiday homes for accomadation, these are my prefered business to use, I will be there for 6 weeks in july jigging and popping and hoping for a good time

Don't forget to pack some other gear too. There's so much on offer as far as fishing options go. If the GTs don't want to play you can always go and chase plenty of other stuff. I'd suggest winter down here, generally the weather is a little more consistent. It's a great place. You'll love it.
