SUDAN SHORE POPPING, FLY & VIDEOS

Hi all just coming back from Sudan reef new spots in the really virgin areas of this part of the Red Sea.

We have a nice fun during this explorative trip fishing from Shore in the night on popping and run for fly closer to the GT's coming inside the lagoon during hight tide.


This is a nice GT Cought from the fishing guide Nicola during a warm night closer to the split of the reef with the Gipang Tide lez 7xxxh and 100 lb line


Fly fishing was till we were younger our really passion, and Sudan is one of the best place i never saw for this tecnique


Many Gt's coming closer to the sand to find small fish that's are easiyer to eat in the shallow water.

Hy friends i'have been in Sudan last April!

Sudan it's a wonderful place, uncontaminated and ful off fish!

We had a lot of strike on the popper & stick bait, but the real unbelievable results we had fishing deep jigging with series of strike really impressive!!....Dogtooth tunas is the most common, with some fishes really big and strong, that were unstoppable also with stella 20 000 and 80lb line! (recommended to use very strong rods and lines, like stella 20 000 and 100lb, beacuse the backdrop is rich of


The organisation is percfect, the food is good and the guides Vincenzo & Nicola are very competent and helpful!

I have tried popping at night but not on the same caliber as the pictured fish you can only hear the popper and then a water explosion and you come up tight...awesome.
Looks like excellent conditions for sight casting any Bonefish in that area?

Hey Tony, yes this place are huge for fly and flats spinning, but onestly in my opinion Sudan reefs are expecially for dog tuna on Jigging.

The only problem we have in this trips is doing all the fishing tecnique in only 6 days fishing, this is the reasons we are planning to do a long trip to try all the fishing possibility of this areas.



Anyway fly is one of my favourite tecnique and Nicola is doing his best to find good places closer to the Popping and jigging Spots!

I hope to catch a nice napoleon or giant parrotfish there are a lot's there but very difficult to fight with a 12 line.

Vincenzo, i love the video "closer to the dropoff" did amazingly well to keep fighting the fish while treading water.

There are 2 things i tryed in my fishing experiences jigging and popping in the dark night, but onestly from shore is much more difficult!



This photos from Nicola just coming back from new Spots in my opinion are the really ultimate fishing frontiers for Gt fishing.
He used the strongest Hot's gipang tide lez 77xxxh to stop this fish before loosing behind the dropoff just 20 mt far form the beach!




when I saw these pictures I felt a healthy envy to him.
