Hello good afternoon,

Are there any people who have been fishing to PNG?
And what are your experiences?
I just have seen the DVD legend 8 about PNG.
It looks very nice to me.

Best regards,

Arnout.

Hi Arnout, I have fished on the north coast of West New Britan Island PNG. The fish I caught where blue fin trevelly and Spanish mackerel on top water around the reefs and a lot of fish I don't know on soft plastics. Very beautiful place and I'm looking at going back next year for another round of fishing.

I was staying at walindi resort in kimbi bay the last time. Only took pe3 and pe1.5 spinning combos to have a play around the inner reef edges so didnt catch or target the big GT and Dogtooth.
Next time im taking the pe6 and pe8 gear as the people i spoke too said they were there on the outer reefs with yellow fin also. The diving and snorkling in the bay is amazing with such clear water!

I fished Brunswick Bay , south of Lae a few years back after being blown by cyclone Larry n could not reach Siassi . The area is beautifull but GTs there aren't the size to brag about , however the doggies are something else , they hit sub surface lures !

Nowaday I fish Kaimana in the West Papua province of Indonesia , the GTs are big n plentifull still .

It lloks nice for me because it is remote. And far from the Netherlands.
But that is also the problem. My fishing mate does,t wand to do trips any more with a lot of stop overs.
He wands to go to Panama now. because you can fly straight from amsterdam to panama.

Best regards,

Arnout.
