Bleeding GT before release

Hi all
Well this is my first fight with GTs, on the last trip we caught 5 on jigs, all around 110-115 curved fork length, all GTs were released,
but my concern is that two of them did bleed, something like one cup fulll of blood,
one of the two totally swallowed the jig, and the hook was about 15-20 cm inside its mouth, I'm not sure where was the second one hooked

Does this frequently happen? do you think it has good chance of not dying, they swam just like the other three and didn't take any longer to kick its tail

I have often wondered about the same, Mahmoud.

I do think that anecdotally, the majority do. The only reason I say this outside of just hoping they do is that over the years, I have caught GTs that have obviously recovered from horrendous injuries caused by predators. This includes a fish that obviously had a significant portion of its back bitten off when it was much smaller. If they can survive such a grevious injury, I would like to think they would survive the level of bleeding you have seen.
