Tak Otsuka:
Hi all,

We are very pleased to announce the impending release of the Blue Lagoon 80/43R-P1. This is a rod that we have had on a long term testing program and we have finally reached the stage where we feel the rod is ready for release. The design for this rod was formulated while the Blue Lagoon 80/40 was still in its prototype stage. Brandon wanted a rod for his favourite lure, the Gamma 200 to specifically target big GTs on PE10 and he wanted just a bit more power than was available from the 80/40. We did this by using the 80/40 as a base and the 80/43 is the result.

We would describe this as a rod for advanced stickbait anglers in that the additional power has been built into the lower section of the rod. The rod was tested primarily with the 160 and 200 Gamma

We are releasing this rod as a very limited offering under the KLL label. The rod will only be available in Australia in 2014 Q2.

Kind regards,
Tak

Andy Rowe:
Wow, sounds like a really nice rod men, a really specialized piece of kit, and about time. Well done. I would have requested one but already have my name down for another of the upcoming KLL's in the 42 lb range.

Mark Gwynne:
Tak can you please expalin the coding for the rods? 80/40 and so on. The new one looks very strong.
Thanks.

Tak Otsuka:
It shows rod length and power around butt section but it's best to take only as indication because rods with different taper or construction give you quite different feeling even with same butt power rating. This model will be PE8-10 stickbait rod and not really a light rod. Probably best to have a look TBL 80/40 if possible then judge from there.

Cheers,
Tak

Kasey Leong:
Will this rod work Gamma 350s well?
