Nick Bowles:
Big Guy, I was very sad not to join you on this trip but looks like is was a proper adventure and how fishing trips should be, a bit of drama, amazing scenery and some excellent fish! Just the grouper alone makes the trip worth all the effort, really fantastic to get so many big grouper and on top water!! Was great to have you stay the last couple of days and see the new Prototypes, you keep on producing great rods and costing me money!

Good luck in Tanzania! Hit it!

Cheers,
Nick

Trevor Skinner:
Great report bud.

A few heart stopping moments but what an adventure. The fishing looked pretty special as well.

Sacco Gerard:
I knew you were a king Sami, chapeau :)

Martin Gundersen:
Thanks for the report, nice collection of fish.

To bad about the weather once you are in such a cool destination.
Sounds like you need your biggest guns to land the monsters at Socotra.
And for that you have one more reason to come back, hopefully with better weather and better communication/engine.

Look forward to the next report from you

Rob Paterson:
Sami

Epic report as always, and kudos for the perseverance in less than ideal conditions..

Curious as to the use of a wire bite trace for GT, was this to protect your lure from the "razor gang" , or some type of experiment, looks fairly heavy gauge wire and would be interested to know the attachment method to the lure. Was a swivel involved , as the wire looks severely torqued towards the lure end.

Glad you got the gamma back, and thanks again for a great report.

Cheers
Rob
