Stella 18000 bent engine/rotor arm
March 17, 2014, 09:19:27 AM
When inspecting my 2008 Stella 18000, following my recent trip to Southern Oman, I realized to my big surprise that the five GTs I had landed had bent the "engine", where the rotor arm is attached. Has anyone had this happened to you before? Also, is it repairable or do I have to buy a new reel?

/Jussi

Not seen that before! - if its just the wire part it's cheap to replace from Shimano with the non roller arm included in the part :)

Jussi,

I've seen it before. As I've said don't use those spools.

Send it to Shimano, Stellas are fixable regardless.

Jussi, mine looked the same on an 8000 SW-A. I unmounted the rotor and put it back in place end then everything looked fine again! The rotor had just slipped a bit. Could be the same with yours.
