This is very exciting news! I believe this is the first GT ever recaptured at such a large size. It will provide some interesting information about growth rates of big fish. Nice work, Sami!

The fish was caught and tagged by a member of my group (Jason Jeffery) on March 28th 2014 about 30 nautical miles to the west of where Sami re-caught it.  So cool to get this type of information!

Certainly gives a picture of type of medium range local movements these big fish undertake.
