Musandam Oman GT fishing still producing the good!

We got up to our first spot and set ourselves up for the first drift. Mohamed had fished before but with the heavy gear we gave him a chance at a few practice casts before go time. We set our drags and at the end of the drift Mohamed hooked into his first GT which gave him a nice fight and introduction to a  GTs take and fight. The GT was around 5kgs and a good start to the morning.




























Next drift we followed the same route and with that the same result. Damon using a sinking Carpenter Pandora 155 and myself using a Cubera 150 Black and silver popper we cast together me a little bit behind him as he let it sink for a while. His second twitch and he was no with a nice couth and on my 4 pop had 3 big GT come up behind my popper and one was lucky enough to eat it. Damon got his fish in and his couth was around 15kgs. I had my fish on for about 15min and then I managed to get it into the boat. It was my biggest GT in Musandam and my biggest GT ever. 134cm.
