Honeymoon suggestions?

Hi all,

Any tips for a honeymoon location that may have some convenient fishing options? Preferably shore based as I may be shot if I disappear on a boat for a day.

Keen to take the Mrs somewhere special post wedding so quality accommodation and location is a must. If I can sneak in a fish from the shore in between honeymooning that would be pretty awesome...fishing doesn't have to be spectacular but I'd love to be able to have a flick off the shore for GT and miscellaneous trevs, bones, whatever.

Sydney based so South Pacific locations ideal but open to any suggestions.

Check out the Hawaiian thread by the GT Fight Club.  They seem to do good from the shore, and bonefish are an option.

Dan Smith:
Aitutaki in the Cook Islands has some good shore fishing for various trevallies and other stuff and is a great honeymoon destination other than some bugs at dusk.

I have not been yet, but it looks like a combo.  Kadavu or makaira on Tavenui?
