Rods for Oman

<< < (2/4) > >>

Dave Huck:
Thanks guys.

Definitely the beginning of an interesting (and expensive) journey ! I'm in touch with a few UK members on here and will definitely be trying to check out some rods before I buy.

Sami, you're supposed to tell me the WRC is an antique and I need a pair of RPs immediately  :D. But I really appreciate the honest advice!

I'm assuming that having two rods ready to go, one stick and one popper, is a good thing? Or is this just an excuse for me to become an even worse tackle ho?

As far as buying Carpenter in Europe goes, I'm afraid I can't justify the premium over US and Asian suppliers (I'd rather go on holiday and buy the rod while away, win-win).

Cheers!

Dave

Alex Jordan:
You need to pop round the work shop Dave - still got a RP200 here for you to check out that is being rebuilt :)

Dave Huck:
Thanks Alex,

Will try and pop in next time I'm on my way down to the folks. By the way, fancy a few beers one night next week?

Cheers

Dave

Cameron Mundy:
I wouldn't discount the WRC its a very capable rod.

Andrew Smith:
The Temple Reef Reefer 711 performed sensationally in Oman. Beauty of it is it's all round usability. I was on the same trip as Mark And there were 4 out of 6 guys on the trip using TR rods. Sensational value for money and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.
