Waterproof Back Pack

Luke Wyrsta:
On the hunt for a new waterproof backpack!

Any opinions out there?

Have used the Hots however, I really don't like the side secure buckle, instead preferring the top buckle secure style. The mesh pockets are worthless and overall the plastic fasteners are crap. I've seen the HPA bags fail in similar fashion so not overly keen to entertain those.

Needs to be 40 plus litres, decent fasteners and any extra loops, basic pockets would be a bonus!

Hey Gents, you'll find it hard to find a waterproof bag with external pockets, I have a couple of the overboard brand bags that are great.

Tough and comfortable when loaded with heavy gear.  Not too exy either. http://www.over-board.com.au/backpacks/waterproof-backpacks.html

Rapala make one that is very uncomfortable.

Cheers

Outlieb make very good dry bags and have a version with backpack straps, heavy duty and not too pricey

I love the 100% waterproof boat bags (which you're not after) but perhaps one of the:

Patagonia Storm Front Range would suit (100% waterproof in some instances)?
