AG chain knot.

(1/5) > >>

Lucas Nixon:
On a recent trip I was exposed to the AG chain knot for the first time.

What are people's thoughts and more importantly experiences using this knot to connect 130lb - 200lb leader material to swivels and or solid rings etc.

Cheers,

Lucas.

Rory McPherson:
I use it with flurocarbon leader for jigging only , important to get the half hitches going opposite ways I think.

Trevor Skinner:
I've heard mixed reports but my major question is why?

Just about everyone I know uses either a uni or an improved clinch and they're both pretty foolproof.

Regards,

Trevor

Brandon Khoo:
I think it is a ridiculous knot

Lucas Nixon:
Thanks for the thoughts and comments.

A mate of mine swears by the knot and uses it for jigging and surface fishing.

It looks like a whole lot of extra work for what souds like little to no extra benifit.

I personally use the improved clinch and am yet to have a knot fail on anything from bream and bass fishing all the way through to Tuna and GT fishing.

I was just wondering if I missed something and the AG chain knot was the "new best thing".

As always appreciate the comments of those in the know.

Cheers guys,

Lucas.
