Emeraude 2018

Hi,I m going to fishing with Emeraude (north of Madagascar) next February.
Someone have any advice regarding this trip? I m a little worried with the airport arrived.I heard that is not so safe the tourist baggage situation there, because the airport policy are very corrupt and exige much money ,etc...

Hi Fabio

I was there in January and had no problems at all. 6 day liveaboard trip with the catamaran.

The only thing I would say is that BRING MONEY for your odd size and extra luggage when flying from Antsiranana. There is no ATM there. We had to give them our pass ports as a safety until we had paid in Antananarivo.

Tight lines there. The place sure has potential but we didn't catch what we had hoped for. Going with two fishing boats and the catamaran on their tale is a really great setup!

Caint say enough about Emeraude Sportsfishing great Charter and plenty of species and big fish.

Antananarivo to Diego early at Check In and take USD return flight to Antananarivo no issue Dec - Jan being Epic Feb also take some insect repellent.

no, there is no particular problem at the airport. you will have to pay a fee of 25 euros for a stay of less than one month.
but as often giving a little money helps to get things done.
especially tananarivo take a porter allows to pass quietly in front of the checkpoint.
do not accept the change at the airport, bruno of emeraude fishing  can do it for you at the best rate.
the city is safe   but no outside sign of wealth and more cautious, the evening take a taxi is simpler ...
a great place to eat mexicoco !!
for fishing you are in one of the best organization
