GT Fishing CHECK list

(1/3) > >>

lonhro:
Hi Guys,

Thought this might be a usefull little list to have on the site. A check list of things you need to take when going fishing for GTs. This way we can just tick them off the list to make things easyer.
SO FAR i have

* Rods
* Reels
* Lures
* Split Rings
* hooks
* Ring spliters
* Spare line
* Trace
* Gimble
* Gloves
* Lip Gripper
Please add to as you feel.(trying to work out what i have not packed  ;D)
Cheers  ;D

Greg Burt:
For us greenhorns, how many rods eg. 7' 50lb / 7'6" 80lb. lures 2 x so'n'so poppers etc.
 Is that a bit to much? In other words what you should take.

lonhro:
Thanks Greg,
Good point. well what i should be taking is a better question to ask. i only have one GT rod but other things please comment on. (First attempt at jagging a GT).

Cam Foley:
a good camera for proof cause you got to let the things go to trouble some other mad keen GT dude

Greg Burt:
Randy, you've got one GT rod more than me, I'm going through the looking/learning/buying process for a medium rod at the moment. :-\
The reason I mentioned a more detailed check list is to learn from what experienced poppers use for local places.  :D
 Cam, KC and I might check out the Nth Bribie Island beacons / Spitfire Banks / The Trench area for Trevs next week during the Billfish Bonanza, and we wont forget our cameras. ::).
