Shoalwater Bay - Trip Report
April 21, 2007, 08:27:19 PM
Hi Guys - back now. I'll get a full report done up soon but suffice to say, an amazing GT location with huge, strong fish in some really tough country. Absolutely gorgeous location. I had hookups to a number of big fish (ranging up to prehistoric in size) and I got my butt smacked.

I'll go as far as to say it is the best GT location I've ever been to.
If it swims; I want to catch it!

actually, the first two days were awful weather but after my recent experiences in Vanuatu, I was more than happy to have a few good days. On the two calmer days where we were able to get the dories out to surrounding islands, the fishing was amazing.

Luke should have some pictures posted in the next day or so.

Guys ,

Congratulation , must wait till later in the year before I get GT popping in real term and meanwhile must settle for YFT popping + freshwater fishing . Good on you , mates !

this is just a test, guys. I have finally found a way to load photos with photobucket!!
The photo above is of Damon and one of the guides Jason at Flat Rock. It looks innocuous but was one great location!
