Alan Morrison here. Brit expat who lives in Perth, works in Singapore and travels a lot for work. Mostly fished Indonesia (Ujong Kulon and Komodo) and the Maldives for GT's, have a trip booked with LPB in 2011 !! Fish for anything that swims from luring Flathead in the Swan River to flyfishing for Barra and Siamese Carp in Thailand with Francois - but GT's are a bit of an obsession. Was brought up a carp and pike nut in the UK in the 70's. A fan of Carpenter rods and Saltiga reels. I cant work a stick bait to save my life but i hope I'll learn soon.

 G`Day All

I am Rob from Sydney & i love my jigging and i am just getting into throwing a few stick baits off the stones around Sydney's eastern suburbs.

I have been jigging since the early 90's and have landed my fair share of King Fish & Yellow Fin Tuna off the reefs around Sydney jigging.

I would like to say i think this web site is sensational for hints & tips on techniques and tackle to be used to throw the stick baits.

Cheers Rob  ;)
Cheers,
Rob

Gday to all

Im from the Gold Coast QLD, Have recently become addicted to the jigging and poppering scene so thought Id join up to enhance my knowledge base and chat with some like minded junkies ;)

I normally head out from Tweed when ever the weather is permitting and own a 560 quinny spirit/ 115HP suzi combo. If there is any blokes from the southern Gold Coast area who are looking to exchange GPS plots or what not give me a yell.

Cheers.

Hello guys ... new here ... hail from Cape Town, South Africa and love all facets of fishing with a recent development of a serious passion for active pursuits such as popping, spinning and jigging.

The season here has been terrible but our usual quarries are what we call snoek, yellowtail (kingfish in Aus?) and Long Fin and Yellowfin Tuna. Been priveledged to catch all on one or other form of metal.

Got an epic trip planned to Moz in May where I hope to pit my skills against some true giants.

Look forward to learning and stealing with my eyes :)

hello and compliments to all of you,

it is  a bit of time i enjoy most of your advises and experiences and I am really greatfull to all of you

I am italian, 63 year old and in recent years my interest is mainly in trolling for bluefin tuna in tirrenian sea where I have my own boat, a long long time flyfisher both fresh and saltwater, a few blue marlin in capeverde too in my palmares

my experience with GT is limited to a recent poor trip to Maldives we simply where in the wrong place in the wrong moment, a single small GT but I had the " pleasure"  to loose 2 nice fish for poor reactivity due to such a backache to really limit me in fishing

knowing my limits as soon as I was back I got a Patriot Black Mafia brand new from a friend of mine... I am not learning easily ;D

another defect of mine is that I am more solicit in collecting tackle than really going fishing, I am probably one of the best client of Matsutani both Sevenseas and Patriot but having a dialog with him in english is a real challenge, but i like him while smoking and telling in his video " training starting now " so I will bother you immediately on a rod question

ciao a tutti
