Dear Friends, does anybody use this rod (rating pe 8-12)and have the best combination
I have tried the stella 10000fa & saragosa 18000 but seem its too heavy for me,
have paired w stradic 8000 but it hold only  130m of YGK pe 8
Any suggestion for best combination to catch a Monsterr..

Hi Eriko,

If thats the case you need another lighter PE rated rod, say a PE4-6 pencil instrument (kaibatsu, or a similar PE6 rod of which there are many on the market.

Match it with 10000XG or 8000FA / Z4500, with PE6, if medium GT's are your target you'll have fun with this type of set-up, just be prepared to loose abit of gear as you are going a bit lighter than what is generally considered optimal if targeting GT.

The deep monster needs the 10000FA as you are going to need atleast 180m of PE8 to match the character of that rod.

Hope that helps Pak ;)

Regards
Andy

Mate im looking at getting one of those carnx Kaibutsu rods..They were desgined for the Euorpean market and you can only buy from overseas..A customer come in to my shop yesturday to show me and i loved it..Im looking at the Long cast and also the Surface monster..The surface monster he said is a dead ster broom stick and is great for big fish for 40kg plus but the long cast he said handleda few big 45kg fish no problems..8.2ft in length and has plenty of grunt with a bit of tip for stick bait action..Will definetly be getting them..

Your deep monster would be tops with a stella 10000,20000 or saltiga in the large sizes with anywhere from 80lb braid but if u want the big boys go 130lb!!

The rods a beaut. I use a 10000 fa on mine and it is very good. The new 10000 XG should be a good match as well but lighter again. Soon find out.

Caranx Kaibutsu rods were designed by Singaporeans with long handle to facilitate long casting distance .
