Title: SMITH GTK-74PG for light popping?
Post by: Alistair Barnes on July 12, 2010, 04:37:48 PM
Seen a smith GTK 74 PG for light popping.  Was wondering if anyone has seen one of these or used one?

Was thinking of using it as a general lighter setup for throwing lighter baits to Tuna under 20kgs, bonito, dorado and so on and maybe popping along the reefs for GT's under 15kgs.

Anyone with any feedback?  thanks....

Hi Alistair,

I had the same decision a while back, I knew I wanted to keep it specifically as a light outfit for casting smaller lures up to 80g.
Chose the Yamaga Blue Sniper 75/4 and very happy with it.  Was looking at the Smith's also, as I like the ones I own and have used.

Cheers David
