A bit of fun......
If you were restricted to just one popping outfit (god forbid)
What would it be?
This can be something you already own or something dreams are made of :P
I'll start it off with my latest greatest ;D
Rod: Patriot Design Diamond 77 PE5-8
Reel: Daiwa Dogfight
Line: Avani GT SMP PE8
-
no, to think I'd be limited to one outfit is too scary to contemplate! :D
-
Just pretend you only had one Brandon, makeout as if you don't know where they all are [half truth] ;D.
My fav:
Zenaq 83-7
Stella 10000FA [havn't christened my SW18000 yet]
YGK Ultra Castman PE8
-
Rod: Fisherman GT Monster 77 R10 PE8 - PE12.
Reel: Shimano Stella 18000SW
Line: Varivas PE8 - PE12
-
LOL
-

That is a nightmarish thought :o :o
Ripple fisher GT78 Flex with Stella SW18000HG loaded with Varivas GTmax PE8 and 1 extra spool of PE10 ;) :D (still 1 outfit right)
A good thing this is just a hypothetical exercise though ;)
-
Stella 10K PG (08) pimped with carbon knob + Carpenter LR90 + lotsa Sea Frogs. :-)
-
Patriot Design Black Diamond 77
Stella 18000 (when I can afford the upgrade!)
Varivas GT Avani PE10....gives me a woody thinking about it ;D
-
Settle down Aaron(http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd207/bunzo51/smiley36.gif), and get back to work ;D

i thought you got the Black Mafia 76 rod what change,s your mind on that .
you got to work harder for the 18000 reel. ::)
-
Aaron was being sensible - the Black Mafia would break a normal man in half and that's not even getting to that ridiculous Fire Vortex. The rating on the Fire Vortex should be PE20!

Brandon,
Yep...I wanted something sensible!
The Black Diamond has as much poke as the SP78UHL though has a bit more mid flex so it feels very nice when loaded up....the Black Mafia & Fire 'Spine Screamer' Vortex is too much for my battered, spine-fused back!
Bun,
I had a cold shower...all is good!

I am waiting to hear a report of some poor unsuspecting GT fisherman who gets broken in half by one of those Patriot PE12 rods.
It won't be Gordon - he can actualy hold on to one. It'll be some normal person.
-
My latest and hopefully my last ;D
Rod: PD Diamond 77
Reel: Saltiga Dogfight 6500
Line: SMP or Castman (PE 8)
Rod: PD Platinum 84
Reel: Saltiga Z6000GT
Line: SMP or Castman (PE 6)
-
it'll never be the last! I remember when the first Shimano Calcutta baitcaster came out and I thought I'd never want or need another baitcaster. Well, that love affair lasted as long as it too Shimano to release the Conquest ::)
My latest and hopefully my last ;D
-
Agrees with you Brandon. Need lots of self discipline. ;D

My choise wud be Carpenter LR86/LR88 matched with Stella 10000 filled with PE6 Avani GT Max , the LR86 I have has served me well since 2002 and still the most versatile rod for pencil , chugger and stickbait , in the respective preferences but ofcourse one still need at least another dedicated rod depending on the task to be undertaken .
Jon .
