Title: "Braid" Hollow V's Solid
Post by: Ben Crarer on January 02, 2012, 01:49:15 PM
Hey all, hope you had a great Xmas and new year!

Just about to spool a new Stella 18000, some advice on braid would be appreciated.

The reel will be used for popping and stick baits, looking at Jerry Brown & Varivas in PE 8/10

I would have thought solid was preferred for casting but noticing a trend in the hollow braided lines for splicing etc.

I have never used hollow, whats the pros and cons of each?

Solid casts better as you surmised.

The counter benefit of hollow is the ability to splice.

That's about it as I far as I know.
