hello,
daiwa has discontinued the TN80,and the dorado M-over 80s.
anyone know of a simmilar rod? I want to use it to cast 80g metal slugs and poppers off the rocks.
also looking at a lighter option to cast x raps 14 and small poppers. say up to 40g -50g

Hey gus, check out the Temple reef stealth STK 76 as an alternative to the 80 TN. For lighter duties the Daiwa Catalina 762H would be ideal, I have both of these and very happy with them.
You should still be able to pick up an 80TN or 80S from stock if you look around, I have both, they are great rods, but the two above are comparable and better priced.

Failing that TENRYU have some comparable rods.
In the Spike Tuna range.

Carpenter BC75MHS is among the best light popping rod for smaller GT n middle class YFT , my favourite sailfish popping rod .

Haven't used it yet but it appears to be good quality and feels like it will cast a mile.

7 seas got the saltiga80 tn at a good price,im coincidering this one for the heavy option!
also few options from zenaq! any one have any experience with the zenaq DF 93 mid game? looks like a nice light rod.
will check all the rods you guys sugested!
