Title: Tenryu Spike Yellow Tail SK732?
Post by: Shannon Poulton on January 15, 2015, 01:04:06 AM
Anyone have experience with the Tenryu Spike Yellow Tail SK732?

Looking for a casting rod for school-sized Southern Bluefin Tuna out of a trailer boat (casting space is limited).

Length: 7'3''
Lure: Max 100g
Max drag: 10kg

Open to other suggestions. Cheers

Hiya Shannon,

A another good option is the Jigging Master Surface Assassin 7'5"ft Pencil rod with 40 - 120g lure weight, PE3-6 line and up to 13kg drag I've got this rod and have had up to 9kg drag and its strong indeed. I use PE5 on it with a Saltiga Z4500 and it casts perfectly good distance with its sweet spot being 65 -90g weights.

Tight lines !.
