Just a 'heads-up" for anybody traveling to Samoa or Tonga in the next week
Tropical Cyclone Rene was named last night and is forecast to quickly go Cat 2. Current forecast track is just South of Samoa and heading later for Northern Tonga.

Hi Rob,
TC Rene is not currently forecast to directly affect the Fiji Group however the latest track from the Joint Typhoon Warning Centre has shifted slightly more towards Fiji. The probability of it striking Fiji is very low however it is likely to push up a SE wind for the first couple of days of your visit. After that, it may be good news if it tracks well south of us - could give us Northerly breezes - ideal popping weather... still too early to tell though...
We will be watching it closely... :)
