I had completely forgotten the name Alcedo!  Brings back memories of when I was a young kid fishing.  No idea about this reel but I do remember Alcedo as an old line good quality Italian reel maker.

Just read up a bit and it appears Alcedo is a re-born brand but it is no longer Italian in any way and that the name is used on Chinese factory reels. Treat with extreme care.
