Title: First Gt popping trip!

Hey guys,

Going on my first gt popping trip up at Exmouth with Eddy Peaksportsfishing. Eddy will provide all the gear but I'm taking a Calstar 700h with a Catalina 6500 to try out anyways.
I'm sure Eddy will provide a lot of information when I get there but any advice to a total noob would be greatly appreciated.
I also will be hiring a 5.5m boat and a 4.2m runabout after the charter, and will go out on our own so any boating advice would also be handy.

I'm extremely excited about the trip and to hook on to my first GT!

Above all else, just relax and enjoy it Jason.

I am sure you are in good hands with Peak Sportfishing.

Once you catch that first GT you will be hooked for sure :).

I would advise you to take all Ricky's Fishermans for the week! (especially the one called BG JACK)

Don't know what he thinks he's going to do with them  ;D ;D ;D

Fat chance if he knows about it...
But maybe if I raid his room when he's at work I reckon he'd never now with the amount of gear he's got lol!

Not a good idea to bring an elephant gun on the first outing  anyway.
On the other hand I will make him bring all the good lures like king kong, I-cup, big mama cup.
That might turn Him away from GT fishing, the way I see it, I am doing him a favour really.
As we all know, GT fishing is an expensive sport. once you hook the first one you hook for life hei
