Hi guys,
Heading to the Pacific for a couple of weeks in May/June.
Main fishing style will be top water however I'm taking the jigging gear for when I'm feeling like getting bent over by a doggy or two.
I would appreciate any recommendations on peoples preferred choices of assist cord in particular for targeting dog tooth tuna.
Thanks.

Don't know much about jigging doggies shout make a few wire Assist hooks up which have movement so should affect hook up rate.f not the jigstar assist cord is best I have used for teethy critters

For Spanish Mackeral I remove the inner core of the assist and thread #6 Malin wire through the middle its still light enough to tie a traditional jigging knot around the shank of the hook, Not sure if this would stand up to doggies though. Maybe find a mate who fishes for marlin with a bench crimper and make up some cable assists.

Hey guys.
Tommy is the jigstar a kevlar assist?
Cameron I will definitely look into that.
Cheers for suggestions much appreciated.

Guys
I use the heavy duty Varivas assist cord when I am chasing doggies and have had not any issues regarding bite off's from the dogs - the sharks that eat the dogs though - that's another thing!
Cheers
Andrew
