Stella 10000

Hi All
I am after a bit of info. I have an opportunity to pick up a Stella SW10000 HG at a good price and was wondering what the difference was between the HG and the FA offered here in Aust.

Cheers in advance

Phil, the HG is the  Japanese model. The export model is the FA. In terms of differences, I have never identified any discernible differences between the reels apart from cosmetics on the spools. I have the 20000 in both the FA and PG and the reels seem identical to me.

The PG is also sold with a spare spool - a 16000 which has a  more capacity than the 10000 spool. The 16000 spool is in my opinion a better capacity for heavy popping than the 10000 spool.

If you're looking for a 10000, I wouldn't worry about whether it is a FA or a PG. With any second hand reel though, check it carefully for any damage and ideally, it would be good to also get the internals checked out.Stellas are brilliant reels but the internals are fussy so best to get someone who knows what they are doing.
If it swims; I want to catch it!
