Title: automatic activation pfd waist belts
Post by: Gavin Ng on January 16, 2012, 12:25:47 PM
Hey guys, does anyone know of any off waist belt type pfd's that will inflate automatically if someone hits the water?

I know daiwa japan make a waist belt pfd and it says automatic but im not sure if it means automatic inflation i.e- inflates if it gets submerged, or if it means automatic inflation but requires the user to manually pull the chord?

does anyone know if this product is automatic or know of any others on the market?

Thanks

The waist PFD that I have encountered so far are all auto inflate. Usually means it will self inflate without the need to pull the cord. You will then have to pull it over your head after its inflated......
