Title: Which rod to choose
Post by: Emmanuel Borgo on August 20, 2015, 02:15:26 PM
Hi to all, I put this in another site.
The jigging season is coming for yellowtail here at sea of Cortez, I have in mind a light pe4 setup, so I narrowed my list only for these rods:

Jigging Master Fallings Special 53B-UL (I like gimbal and split butt)
                                                 vs
Smith AMJ-54L (good reputation and spiral wrap, but no gimbal & split butt)

Please help me with which rod to choose.  Thanks for all opinions.

My jigging "technique" is long stroke and I have more catches with a parabolic action.  Thanks for your opinion.

I have both rods .. The smith is nice light but can really only jig light weights where the jm a touch stiffer in bend a heap more poweful and has a broader jig wieght range . .
If I had choice of only one it would be the jm
