Title: PE5 vs PE6
Post by: Simon Thomas on August 11, 2009, 11:38:01 AM
The next chapter in the "Which Braid" question??

If you can get PE5 rated at 78lb and PE6 rated at 86lb, you could just about argue that the strength is the same.  What would be the negatives in going with the smaller diameter line ? maybe poorer knot strength?  Would the benefit of the thinner diameter on water drag and spool capacity be noticeable?  What other benefits are there?

Cheers,
Simon
