Title: Carpenter Anthias 120 - it could have been yours!
Post by: Cy and Kerrin Taylor on April 22, 2009, 08:52:34 PM
Hi,

We recently found a large popper washed up on the beach in the Whitsundays.

It looks like it could have travelled a fair way and has some large tooth marks!

Check it out - maybe you have lost it once!

Here it is - it's called a Carpenter Anthias 120 and it had large single hooks.

Thanks,

Cy & Kerrin Taylor

Hi Brandon,

Thanks for the info about it!

It's a big lure and pops nicely - we got some GT on it yesterday around 25kg so whoever lost it isn't getting it back!  :D

Hi Andrew,

We've been fishing for barra at Faust a fair lot - it's risen a lot with the recent rain and is about 1.5m below the spillway. It's a huge lake now!

GT are always hard not to target when the weather is calm! It's sometimes hard to decide GT or barra!  :D

Amazing what you find that gets washed up from the ocean. Well done boys, great to see that you are making good use of your new & rare Carpenter lure.

Great stuff as always...been a bit quiet on the fishing front for me, had some great sessions last month on tinaroo with some solid fish to 119cm coming on frogs...in the middle of acquiring my GT gear, I have just started building a custom Seed rod to go with my dogfight...a few more lures and i'm ready!
Cheers
Andrew
