These are purpose built to handle big NZ kingfish. The medium model are already all gone but there are still some of the heavy models left. These are a serious weapon built especially for giant kingfish and they don't come any bigger than the ones we are chasing in New Zealand.

There are already quite a few of these rods out there now, Cam and Andre have been using them to great effect on the Bay of Plenty kingfish population.
A few days ago Brandon Khoo a nice fish in the mid to late twenties on one of these rods.
