Hi Chris,

The new dorado sliders are $159 with free shipping aus wide. They have quite a wide body to them and are going to have a big presence in the water for a 160gram stickbait and are made to suit decent sized hooks. They would definately be a good one to use on your FCL rod.

Brett.

Janelle,

As per my discussion with Dunk, not only on this subject & noted on my previous post, this was DEFINATELY not a dig at you guys at Fish Head. I have since removed the post myself personally, I'm very sorry if I offended you guys & girls at Fish Head but it was not my intention.

Sorry once again.

Hi Brock,

I guess it is all relative.  For some people $50 is too much for a lure but then I have also known others who have paid $200+ for lures.  When I was in Japan a few months ago I saw one for around the $450 mark.  We try to cater for everyone and carry GT lures from about $35 up.

We are always very conscious of our pricing but can not control what we purchase the lure for - the manufacturers or wholesales determine the price they sell the lure to us for and we have to work with that.  I guess for them they have to consider the amount of R &D they put into development, the quantities they produce, promotions and their costs of getting it to market, including shipping.

Our prices also include 10% GST (if you are an overseas person remember you won't pay GST so once you enter your country into the online store and it will deduct GST for you).

Cheers,  Janelle

Very good reply Janelle.. a price is a price :) .

As this is in the thread about the Meister Saltriga Slider, I guess the price of that lure may have prompted a bit of shock.  I know from discussions I have had elsewhere that Daiwa have priced this lure at very high levels, particularly for a piece of plastic. But hey, people will still buy them.
