Guys, I need your help:
I just sold my mh80h to buy a more dedicated PE10 popper rod.
The main lures will be GT3s 150 and 170. Once in a blue moon, maybe a 190 gram.
I am currently looking at these two:
MH79XH and RF GT78FLEX.
Can someone please give any thoughts about the difference between them?
Casting wise?
Handling wise during popping and fight?
Thanks a lot.
Cheers, Peter

Why did you sell MH80, wouldn't that be perfect for GT3 150 and 170?
I have the MH80 myself, and have ordered the Flex to have it as backup to my MH80 (or visa verca)
Will receive the Flex in mid december.

Hi Martin
It is very good for the GT3 150 but I feel it begins to struggle at 170 grams. It is suited to both sticks (>160 gr) and poppers. What I want, is a dedicated rod for poppers.
Cheers

Might also want to consider the new Ripple Fisher Final Spirit GT 80XH nano.

I can't speak for the other rod, but I've got a 79xh and it's great for working big poppers, but brutal when you hook a fish and it slugs deep! I'm 6'3 95 kg and fairly "Real World" fit, but my biggest GT (around 40kg) just about broke me!! I had tears! Lol

Thanks guys!
