Title: Offshore Jigging Seminar
Post by: Duncan O'Connell on November 10, 2010, 09:13:39 PM
If you are just getting into jig fishing or want to learn how to get more out of this exciting form of fishing then this is the night for you.  The speaker for the night is Duncan O'Connell, fanatic jigging angler and owner of Fish Head.  Some of the topics covered include how different style of jigs work, how to target different species with light or heavy tackle and rigging and knots.
The seminar is free and pizza and drinks are provided on the night as well as giveaways.

Numbers are limited however so please RSVP to [email protected] or phone 07 3207 9965 to reserve your spot.

The seminar is held in store at Fish Head at Victoria Point (on the bay to the East of Brisbane Queensland).

Date: Wednesday 17th November
Time: 6.30pm

If you are local to our area we would love to see you.  Jigging has been hot here over the last few weeks so it is a chance to get the techniques to get out there amongst it.

Hi Everyone,

The seminar is fully booked.  My apologies to anyone who didn't get a spot.  We might see if we can run another one next year for those who missed out.

We are starting a promotion tonight that gives you the chance to win a jig rod on Christmas Eve.  Will fill you all in on the details after it is announced tonight.

Cheers
Janelle

Hi Everyone,

Thank you to those who attended.  We were originally only going to take 30 but bumped the numbers to 50.  We had a few extras - think final total was around 54.

It was a great night.  We had a good mix of very experienced jiggers through to people interested in finding out more before making the plunge.   Duncan was a bit sick during the day but get him talking about jigging and the adrenalin kicks in.   Thank you to Wilson & Co (Venom Jigging Rods) , Shimano, Gillies (Octa Jigs) and EJ Todd (Maria Corporation agents in Australia) for some cool giveaways.  Thanks also to Blue Water Publishing for magazines with articles on jigging for people to take home.

We will definitely plan some more for next year.

Cheers,

Janelle
