Hey Everyone,
It has been a long time coming but the highly anticipated 2010 Saltiga in the 4500 and 5000 sizes in both high and low speeds are in stock and boy are they nice! Featuring all the new technology that made the Certates one of the biggest hits in 2010 the new Saltiga feels amazing. Buttery smooth and super sexy i think these are going to be a real winner. I think I'm the most excited about the 5000 size, it is sure to be a great alternative to the 10000 SW Stella for someone wanting a smaller popping reel.
Both sizes are $1249 and all are in stock but numbers are limited so if you were thinking about one i wouldn't wait much longer or they might be all gone.
Cheers
Tom

Hey Tom,
Rumour has it that there will be a 6500 size released next year. Any idea on dates and price?
Cheers,
Chris

Chris,
As far as I am aware, the new Saltiga in larger sizes are a little way off yet. I'm only speculating, but if it is next year, it would probably be late in the year. I doubt any pricing will be released until the reel is in production.

Will Fish Head be doing a Carbontex supplement pack to go with this reel?
-
Luke,
It's not needed in these reels. All the new Saltigas and most of the current range use carbon drags as standard. We do still sell carbontex upgrade kits for old Saltigas.

is this a tongue in the cheek comment ? :-)
I had a play with one in a shop in Sydney. Looks and feels like something you see in a science fiction movie.

Can we hear some details Peter of why the new Saltiga drag (on the baby sizes at least) is so superior to that of the Stellas?
