Many thanks to Janelle and Duncan for their excellent service and delivery. Ordered myself a little pressie (FCL Little flying fish stickbait) to try out, and a lure for my wife that she had seen while up at Fishhead. She likes those little Japanese lures with faces on them etc. Hers wont be going near the water though. The squid pen was tested out this weekend. Came close to hooking a king on it on what was a difficult day to raise kings off the rocks in green water.

Nice Andrew.... When I saw the heading of this post I thought it was going to be Colin posting pics of "His & Hers" Stellas for him and Marge!!! ;D

Im working my way up....my wife doesn't really fish much so I think trying for Stella's at the moment would be a bit too transparent. Give it time though... ;D

Marlin lollie for sure that one.

The one I bought is the smaller sized ones, kingie and dollie sized . The 195 (19.5cm) long might be better suited for a marlin. I'll see how it goes around here in the next week or so.

Wow - if Duncan bought me one piece of tackle for every piece of tackle he bought I would be a very happy girl.
Have to agree with your wife Andrew - those face lures are very cool. Love her camo south park one :)

Nice pics Andrew - smart play with the red treble on the squid pen - makes me think of using red tube to catch whiting.. What sort of treble is that?

Ewan, its an owner st66n in 2/0 I think. The red is just paint. I have been playing with that on lures that are divers/sinkers to try and take some of the shine off the hooks and add some different attraction. The other thing I use is fly tail material, that sparkle stuff and add that on the rear hook of lures like x-raps, and on metals etc. The flash on sunny days is great and looks awesome on the back of minnows when retrieving.
