Title: Fluorocarbon Brands
Post by: Luke Wyrsta on August 27, 2007, 09:35:29 PM
I am interested in members opinions about Fluorocarbon brands available in 300lb+

So far i've used MoiMoi and Seaguar, but i'm also keen to try some from YGK.

Looking forward to members thoughts and opinions...

Hi Luke,

Been looking for high poundage FC leader myself. Based in Singapore, Seaguar (in spools) comes in max #30 which is approximately 120lb test. The heavier Seaguar FC leaders come in coils. Wonder what sort of packaging high test Seaguar FC leader at your end of the world comes in.

Thanks,

Marcus

300lb+, that's pretty heavy FC Luke, the equivalent to about 450lb mono leader in abrasion resistance [IMO]. I know Yo-Zuri do a 300lb HD FC in pink @ 1.8mm and Moimoi @ 1.95mm, both brands also have 400lb. I am happy using Duel in the 80-150lb range and my favorite jigging FC, Duel HD 130lb @ .85mm, nearly the same dia as Std 80lb, but twice the price :-\.

Definately comes in coils (40m i think). I've seen in up to 400lb.
