Title: LB GT's Cape Lambert
Post by: Gerard Edwards on November 21, 2010, 10:47:30 PM
I am moving to Cape Lambert to work and I was wondering if anybody can help me with my chances of tackling with some GT's from the shore in this area.

Regards Gerard

Hi Guys

Cape Lambert and the surrounding areas are teaming with all kinds of pelagics, trevallys etc, unfortunately due to large tidal movements and inaccessible areas there is little land based popping etc. Most of the Dampier area is dotted with places to fish but you do need a boat to be able to get to there. Try sending Jay Burgess a PM he would have the most up to date info.

cheers
Jim

Hi Gerard,

As Jim has already explained most of the GT fishing in our area is via boat but I do know of a land based spot off Cape Lambert that has been known to produce GT's up to at least 20kg. It can be a little hit and miss at times but can go off on it's day. Send me a PM and I'll point you in the right direction.

Jay
