I don't get much time to fish, between two kids under 6 and work I have about 1 spare our a week! I'm lucky to get out twice a year!
The collecting gear keeps me motivated towards my next trip!
I can only imagine what your tackle room looks like!

A minimal amount in each cabinet. The number of cabinets is impossible for one person to count.

You know you are addicted when you and the wife plan a fantastic holiday to Tonga to snorkel with the Whales and you show the missus some great resorts to stay at and she decides you will see one whale and then spend the entire time on the beach fishing after your hotel selection mentiions great GT fishing from the beach just a short walk away .....So she cancels the whole idea :(
And this from the woman who allowed a holiday to New Cal as she hadnt been before and committed to a 4 day liveaboard on LPB !!!

Or.... when your friends say - hey lets try shark fishing from the beach, and you reply - hey i have the gear for that .....
Then someone says - hey lets try fly fishing for bill fish ..... and you reply, hey i have the gear for that......
or maybe .... lets try lure fishing for Snakeheads in asia ... and you reply .......
you get the picture ......
yes i have a fishing room, multiple cabinets ..... No i dont sell old gear ....

Some of these are way too funny. The other day I ran out of whipper snipper cord and thought about using my heavy gt leader. Reckon it would work???

You've trained your 4 year old son so well that he announces 'GT my favourite! He would fight hard' when you get to the tank with the GT in it at Sydney Aquarium....

When you're thinking of getting a lure maker to built a custom made popper "urn" so that when you go, you can get your loved ones to put your ashes in it and get your buddies to cast it in some GT infested waters. Morbid.....but addicted nonetheless.

Oh no did you do that too :-\i shouldnt feel so bad, our my anniversary is on the 4th of August And I book a charter with Epic with Tobez and I fly out on our day im in the dog house big time then she was a sweetie by saying thats your anniversary pressie should I think that for a positive or should the gaffel be dropped and call me guilty 8).

Howzit Andrew good to meet you and next time you head our way dont forget your gear!
These drawings were from my kids and hang in my man cave above my work table. Fellow forum member Mr. Tsao flew in earlier this year to fish and the morning before we head out my son hands me the Ulua Pic and says 161cm LOL, he's been watching to much Legend 5 with me. The Lure pic is from my daughter and is a replica of a lure that my buddy made and which I caught my biggest GT to date and is retired and showcased in the house. I was amazed that she drew the wire coils on the tail and even the chain knot :o. The obsession is a family affair ;D!
The last pic is a shot of the boy in training, his first fish on a lure all by himself a while back in a large tide pool close to the house in a spot where I learned to fish as a kid. Ive since corrected his hand positioning holding his fishing pole lol, in ten years watch out! ;D
