Title: Mackerels and introduction
Post by: CEDRIC LEBLOAS on November 29, 2013, 04:54:20 PM
Hi,

Let me introduce myself on that post before I ask for clever questions!

I am Cedric, I leave in PNG, New Ireland we pop, jigg, troll, everything what is fun to do, but at the end of the day.... I prefer casting my poppers!! Please if you come around, drop me a message and we'll go fishing!

So my question: what would be the best hooks/set up to hook mackerels and to make sure they just don't jump and throw the popper away? I put a treble in the front and a single on the end, but they tend to strike the popper head... I manage to hook 10% of the strikes... depressing!

Who ever has the answer has a free day fishing here!!!:)

thanks for your explanations
