Title: Jig/pop in Moorea/Bora Bora?
Post by: Joe Bass on September 30, 2015, 11:51:52 AM
Hey all, new guy here. I posted in the intro thread, and here's my first thread on this site :)

So, like most here I'm sure, I'm obsessed with jig/pop fishing for big fish. I may be honeymooning with my soon to be wife in the above mentioned area, and I was wondering if anyone here had any advice with regards to fishing there.

Unfortunately, our travel time will most likely be July'ish, as we are teachers here in the states and must wait for the northern hemisphere's summer for extended trips.

Can anyone shed some light on potential jig/pop fishing opportunities in Moorea/Bora Bora for that time of year? Any captains you'd recommend?

I'll probably only be able to get out on a boat and fish for one day, though I will be doing some land based fishing whenever the opportunity arises. I posted the same question at 360 tuna, and was referred to this site 8)

Thanks in advance!
