Hi,
I was looking for advice for traveling with a popping rod. What's the best way to secure the rod to make sure it doesn't break? Has anyone ever brought the rod on the plane as a carry on? How often do rods get lost? Do you usually carry reel with you?
Thanks,
Tony

Hey don't think you would be able to take rods as carry on, reels are fine though as long as you put the spools in your check in luggage (unless you have no line on them). For rods buy something like a carmate rod tube or make one yourself out of PVC pipe. Just double check what the max length it can be for travelling is first.

Fabio,
Thanks for the tips. I will definitely need to check with the particular airline about restrictions on luggage length.
