Curious since I noticed that most are into really heavy poppers but little mention made of the lighter ones.

Zeck, in the 80-120gm range I use the Cubera 100, Skipjack 90, and some of Hal's Bluewater range, but tend to go for Stickbaits like Baby Runboh's, Shimano Ocea's and Saltiga Dorado sliders more often.

the reason for the heavier poppers is the line class and the size of the fish. Its like you trying to cast a 20gm twisty with 15kg mono. I mainly use up to 150gm coz I only use up to PE8.

The lightest poppers I generally use are 125g!
